We want to make sure that we are providing your child with the best education and support we can offer. Families who receive certain benefits may be eligible for free school meals. Your child is eligible for free school meals if you are in receipt of one of the following benefits.
All child automatically receive free school meals in KS1 but unless you register for free school meals they are not eligible for the additional benefits under pupil premium funding.
Healthy meals have obvious benefits and can help pupils establish healthy habits for life. Healthy school meals can also help to improve pupils’ readiness to learn.
Registering for free meals could also raise an extra £1,320 for the school, helping us to fund valuable support like extra tuition, additional teaching staff or after school activities.
Children eligible for pupil premium funding at St Mary’s currently receive:
Free breakfast club (places normally £5.50 per session from 7:30am and £2:50 per session from 8:00am)
£100 per year towards music lessons at school.
We also use the funding to support pupils through small groups or one-to-one intervention classes, pastoral support and lunchtime club.
This additional money is available from central government for every child whose parent is receiving one of these benefits listed above.
Please see link below to see if you are eligible and apply.
