We know how important good communication is in helping your child to fulfil their potential at school. There are many ways you can get in touch, depending on who and what you want to discuss. Our reception is manned from 8.30 am until 4.30 pm if you wish to speak to someone.
The school uses School Gateway an online communication and payment system. Please see below for a link to information about School Gateway.
Parents and carers visiting the school at times other than the start and end of the school day must report to Reception. All visitors to the school during lesson times must sign in (and out) and are given a visitor’s badge. Access to the school building is restricted for the safety of the children and others at the school.
Parents and carers living close to the school who see intruders on the school site are requested to call the local police immediately.
Snow and bad weather information regarding school closures will be sent by text to the mobile number we have on file, it will also be announced on Radio Humberside school closures.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO MAKE SURE YOUR MOBILE PHONE NUMBER IS ALWAYS UP TO DATE WITH THE OFFICE AS THIS IS USUALLY THE MOST EASY AND EFFICIENT WAY TO CONTACT YOU.
Our office staff are always happy to help
Notification of Events and Newsletters
Our weekly newsletter is the main way in which we let you know what has been happening in school and what will be happening in the future. We email this out to you every Friday and for this reason we ask that you keep us up to date with your email details. The newsletter also appears on the school website.
Meetings with Teachers/Headteacher
Good communication with parents and carers is something that is very important to us. Parents and carers are welcome to come to the school reception desk at any time but the best time to speak to your child's teacher is usually immediately after school or during the day by arranging a telephone appointment. Contact reception to arrange this.
If you wish to speak to Mrs Jordan or one of the assistant headteachers, please contact reception and they will arrange a suitable time. Please bear in mind that it may not be possible to speak to your child's teacher or the headteacher on the same day but they will get in touch.
During the year there are formal invitations to parents and carers to meet with teachers to discuss children's progress and the home school diary should be used to communicate with teachers as required.
Complaints/concerns should be directed through the relevant Class Teacher, Key Stage Leader and finally the head.
