Extra-Curricular Activities

Extra-Curricular Activities

The staff at St Mary’s offer a wealth of activities for the children, and high standards are achieved in competitive and non-competitive sports and music.

Activities vary from year to year but typically, they include art, athletics, badminton, chess, choir, cricket, football, French, gardening, netball, short tennis, orchestra, and judo. We often take advantage of courses offered by professional coaches from local clubs.

We are very proud to have gained both the Active mark Award and the Arts mark – both of these awards at the Gold Level.

St Mary’s Brownies and Guides meet in the school. Further information is available at Reception.

We would welcome any approaches from parents or other people with relevant qualifications, who are interested in starting up a new club. Please contact Mrs Coombs, our Clubs Coordinator, to discuss the possibilities.
